2003-05-28 - 9:32 a.m. ....ohhhh, and what a WONDERFUL time we had!!! I was just so THRILLED when I saw V and her parents walking my way at the airport baggage claim...it was just so UNREAL!! The whole TRIP from start to finish was like a DREAM....just so IDEAL!! We squeezed SO MUCH fun into every MOMENT, but STILL left with much we DIDN'T get to see! What we DID get to see, though, was SPECTACULAR!! Hehe, can you tell I had a great time??? Giggle! I'm going to TRY to recall EVERYTHING we did and make a separate entry for each day...what a task! I couldn't imagine a BETTER task, though, than to relive the most WONDERFUL trip!!! I'll start this one with Wednesday night....after a teary goodbye from the girls, and hugs from Mike, I checked in at Honolulu. I was happy to see a pillow and blanket in my seat on the flight, because I'd planned on sleeping the whole way. Hadda get lotsa rest! Let me tell you, though...people aren't really meant to sleep comfortably on an airplane!! I'm a side sleeper, and I like to curl up, so I slept on and off since it was hard to do so in the airplane seat. I had about an hour's layover in Los Angeles, which was exciting! I'd always wanted to visit there, and I guess in a way, I can say I visited there for a *little* while, hehe! The flight to Las Vegas from there wasn't too long, so I just caught a cat nap. I was just SPEECHLESS at how Las Vegas seemed so....ALIVE, even that early in the morning!! When the plane landed, I saw the Stratosphere first of all, then I saw the other hotels and casinos, along with one side of New York New York (where we stayed when V and her parents got to Vegas). I got off the plane, got my suitcase, then took the shuttle to Harrah's. V let me use one night of her two free nights, since I got there the day before they did. I'm so glad she did that, too...I slept most of Thursday!! When I finally figured out where to walk out of the hotel lobby, I walked down the street a little way, then stopped by Burger King for lunch...yum! I'd wanted something I could take back to the room, and besides, I didn't want to eat someplace *too* fancy before V got there, hehe! For dinner, I got a HUGE order of nachos at the sports bar there, then headed back to the room to watch TV for a while before I went to bed for the night. Thursday was really restful, then came Friday....time to go get V and her mommy and daddy at the airport! Yayyyyyy!!!! Sign My Tag Board
