V's Big Day...Sunday, Jan. 13th

Well, as if I needed anything to top the previous two days....! We stayed up late enough on Saturday/Sunday to officially wish Vicki a Happy Birthday, then fell into bed! In the "morning" morning, we had some delicious cherry and raspberry-filled crepes and bacon, courtesy of Jen! It was a wonderful start to an even more wonderful day...aside from getting to wish Vicki a Happy Birthday, again, giggle!

After breakfast, we played cards, yet again, then started getting ready for ANOTHER WOLVES' GAME and Vicki's birthday!!

We went to Sherry and Chuck's to pick them and Jim up, and to say hello to Nicole, Kris, Lain, Chrissy, and June. I just wanted to cry, because I had missed them so!

After we all loaded into Jen's van, we left for the game, and one of the most fun evenings I've had in a while! We found Skates right off, and he gave Vicki an autographed card that wished her a Happy Birthday! I thought she was going to pee her pants with excitement, but little did SHE know, we had some tricks up our collective sleeves...hehe!

Sometime during the 2nd period, a birthday greeting from Cory, Jen, and me to Vicki flashed on the board....THEN, we had secretly arranged for Skates to come visit Vicki, with some more goodies! Oh, to see the look on Vicki's face when she saw Skates coming....it was PRICELESS!! She was totally in Heaven!

So, not only did Vicki have Skates to come see her personally, but she was also serenaded by a group of little boys who had taken their shirts off during the game! They were just ADORABLE, standing there in the stands, yelling, "Fight, fight, fight!" After being dared by Vicki, though, Chuck went to where the boys were, took his shirt off, and started dancing right alongside them!! Now THAT made the evening, for sure!! Not only did he make the local pics, but from what I understand, his escapade was shown on ESPN, too!! Way to go, Chuck!!

After the game, we had some awesome cake at Sherry and Chuck's with the kids, then Cory went home with Jim, Jen went home with the kids, and I went home with Vicki and Stephen. Vicki and I ended her big day by watching Xanadu yet again, and eating kettle corn! I don't care how much we watch that movie together, it's still as exciting as it was when I first found out that she loved Xanadu, too! Every time we're together, much to Jen and Cory's chagrin, we have to watch Xanadu at some point, hehe!
